How to Kick Out an E-Book Fast

Writing an e-book is not like writing the great American novel.
You don't have to pour over it for ten years to get your
masterpiece. In fact, if you know how, you can kick out an e-book
in less than ten days.

No, you don't have to take a week off from work and spend every
waking minute completing the e-book. And you don't have to drink
gallons of coffee to keep you up all night typing away at the e-
book. So how is it possible to write an entire e-book in such a
short amount of time? Simple. You don't write it.

How to Become an Instantly Famous Author

Go into a bookstore like Barnes and Noble and take a look around.
There are hundreds of thousands of books there, written by
thousands of different authors. But not many of those authors are
household names. Not many of them reach the level of fame that a
choice few rise to.

But whether you're planning to write an e-book or a print book,
you can make yourself famous overnight, from the instant the book
hits the shelves--or the net, as the case may be.

How can you make yourself instantly famous? By affiliating
yourself with someone who is already famous! It's called
coauthoring, and thousands of writers do it every year to get
readers to sit up and take notice of their book.

Who would make a good coauthor for you book? Look for someone who
already writes about many of the same things you want to write
about. If you want to write a book about gourmet cooking,
approach the Naked Chef. If you want to write an e-book about
copywriting, hey, why not give me a call?

The best way to get someone to agree to coauthor your book is to
offer to do most of the work. It's free publicity for them and
they hardly have to lift a finger. Of course, not everyone would

Millionaire by Mark Victor Hansen & Bob Allen. I believe in the
principles of the book so much, I put up a website (1st one ever)

Your site looks great. Shelf space in grocery stores is hard to
get. You might do better to work out co-packaging deals with
products that are already in distribution. Also look for
alternative places to put your product such as small
independently owned grocery stores and restaurants.

Of course, your cheapest and easiest bet is to sell directly to
the public from your web site. Advertise in ezines and in the
back of magazines that cover food.

How to Present Your Story to Get Free Publicity

If you're anything like me, you've probably seen thousands of
stories on the news, or read about them in the paper, that made
you think, "Don't they have anything better to cover?"

The truth is, the media probably only covered those questionable
stories because someone suggested it to them. The question is, do
you have a better story for them? Because if you do, that could
mean tons of free publicity for you.

The trick to getting free media publicity is in the presentation.
Here are a few common angles to take on your pitch:

*New ideas and technologies - Do you offer a product or service
that makes peoples' lives easier or more convenient? Think of an
angle along the lines of convenience that came with credit card
gas pumps, email take-out, and convenience store/chain
restaurants.

*Follow-ups - If you see a news story or article about a product
or service similar to yours, call the reporter who did the story
and offer another angle or a follow-up. The first story could be
for people who want to learn more.

*Try Piggybacking - This means you put a fresh twist on something
already in the news. You can piggyback on news items, trends,
holidays, community events, any hot news item on which you can
supply a new angle--one that promotes you!

Two Most Important Things to Remember About Media Publicity

You don't need to know everything about media publicity to take
advantage of opportunities. If you simply keep a few key ideas in
mind, you can get your product, service or business media
coverage on a regular basis.

Here are the two most important things to remember about media
publicity:

1) Opportunities are EVERYWHERE - How many radio stations,
televisions stations, newspapers and magazines do you think there
are in existence? In the U.S. alone there are not just thousands,
but hundreds of thousands. And each of these media stations and
publications need content. They are always waiting for people to
drop the next story in their lap. You can be the one to do it!
All you have to do is try.

2) The Media Doesn't Look For You - Even if you are a famous
person, the media won't necessarily come looking for you. They
wait for someone to tell them about a story idea, and then they
come running. If you don't pitch your idea to the media, they
won't know who you are and they won't come looking for you. You

I am currently working for a small mortgage company located in
Nevada. We are looking to do a direct marketing campaign for our
retail division. The retail manager feels that sending VHS tapes

That's a hard one. DVD is hot right now, but most

Seems like you could build a short list of hotels,
restaurants, athletic teams, etc. in each of these places.
Then approach each with an offer to let them buy the domain
at a good price. OR...develop a web site for them for a

A short questionnaire might be the way to go.

People don't mind answering three questions.
Depending on what you're selling, you could
find out how much time the prospect spends using
your product, service, or in a certain activity.

Find out how much they spend each month, year, etc.
on your type of product or service. Then find out

That could indicate how many other prospects they
could influence.

Affiliate Marketing--Who Benefits More, You or the Company?

Most network marketing companies give prospective affiliates the
impression that they are the ones who get the most benefits, not
the company itself. But is this really true? Are network
marketing companies really sacrificing their own benefits so they
can provide them for you?

To answer that question, you have to look at each specific
opportunity. Not all are created equally, you know. The more a
company is willing to do to help you succeed--providing marketing
tools and materials, keeping costs low, taking marketing
responsibility themselves--the more you benefit. But your
benefits mean success, and your success means success for them.

Affiliate marketing is a tremendous arrangement for both you and
the company. It's a very symbiotic relationship, in which you
can't succeed without them, and they can't succeed without you.

So, when you decide to look for a network marketing opportunity,
remember that just because a company seems to provide an
unreasonably generous amount of benefits for affiliates, doesn't
mean there is some kind of trick. It may simply mean that the
company knows how your success will affect them.

Make a List and Check it Twice--Is that Affiliate Program Naughty
or Nice?

Some affiliate marketing programs are good and generous and
helpful, while others are selfish, devious scams. But the latter
doesn't deserve to have you as an affiliate, so you have to how
to avoid them. But by their very nature, those naughty affiliate
programs can be tricky. Sometimes they seem nice on the outside,
but once you join, they revert back to their natural form-often
ripping you off in the process.

What can you do to separate the naughty opportunities from the
nice? Do like Santa does and make a list for checking out
affiliate opportunities.

Here are some criteria to help you make your list:

The Company:

Nice: A good company to join is one that has been around for at
least a decade and is debt free. You can usually count on them to
stick around for the long run.

Naughty: If the company is less than five years old, you're
taking a big risk with it. No matter how great the product or
business plan is, they're still a new company with a long way to
go before they can be considered stable.

The Product:

Nice: The product should be in-demand, unique, and consumable. It
can't be something people can get at the local Wal-Mart. They
have to be able to purchase it ONLY through you or another
affiliate. It should also be consumable so the customer has to
buy from you again when the product runs out.

Naughty: If the product is not something people will go out of
their way for, then don't count on making any money. Also, if it
is too expensive, you will have to work hard for each sale, so
the least likable part of network marketing will consume all your
time.

Training and Support:

Nice: A good company will do everything they can to ensure your
success, whether that means providing 24-hour support, creating a
website for you, or equipping you with the best marketing tools.

Naughty: If the company expects you to do everything, if their
management staff is unhelpful or slow to answer questions, and if
they don't offer any kind of training for affiliates, move on to
the next opportunity.

marketing and I have this new job at the Miss Uganda
organisation. The Organisation organises the Miss Uganda beauty
pageant (like Miss World and the like) and I have the task
of marketing the show.

I wanted some tips on how I can market a beauty pageant.

The way you market will depend to some extent on what
part of the world you are in. In many places, you can get
a local radio station involved. Invite one of their main DJs
to be a judge or MC the event. You can also do that with
a local newspaper. Invite a well known columnist or writer
to judge. Have the contestants and last year's winner
appear at big public events or events the media will cover.
Often they can get involved with non-profit events.

In your specific situation, you may be looking at getting
word out around the world. In the United States we often
hear about problems in Africa, but we don't hear about other
parts of life. CNN or the BBC might be interested in doing a
news feature on the Miss Uganda pageant. It would be an
interesting contrast to other news they may be covering.
Contact their newsrooms and suggest the story. Follow up
with a press packet and access to the contestants.
