Make Your Brochure Cover Sell

Most people read a brochure starting with the front cover. Watch
people when they pick up a brochure. Many will see the back
cover first, but will flip it over to start at the front.

Lots of brochures make the mistake of simply listing their name
and contact info on the front cover. While those things are
important, you also want to get right to SELLING with a
benefit-packed headline.

Make your headline tell the most important part of your story:
"WHO IS EARNING $1,000 PER MONTH WITH THIS SIMPLE CHANGE?"

Questions work well because they entice readers to turn the page
and read the rest of your brochure.

You can also state your main benefit, then encourage prospects to
turn inside to get the full story. "BOOST SALES AT LEAST $1,000
WITH THE METHOD200....details inside."

Include photos and illustrations that help quickly convey your
message.

Have you ever run a one time ad and then wondered why you
didn't get much response? Advertising and marketing almost
always takes repeated use to work properly. Once in a while
you will get a product or service that sells with the first ad,

most take time to sink in with customers.

There's an old newspaperman's joke that dates back more than
100 years that illustrates how ads work.

1. The first time a man looks at an ad, he doesn't see it.
2. The second time, he doesn't notice it.
3. The third time, he is conscious of its existence.
4. The fourth time, he faintly remembers having seen it.

The joke continues on until the sixteenth time has him thinking

Naming Your Web Site

Finding a great domain name for your web site has never been
easy, but now it has gotten harder.

If you searched for a good dot-com name and everything seemed
to be taken, your eyes weren't playing tricks on you.

The Internet's phenomenal rise has left good domain names in
short supply. Of the 25,000 commonly used words in the English
language, 93% have been registered as domain names.

Experts say your best bet is to find a short name that describes
what you do. If that is already registered, stick an "i" or "z"
on the front.

Memorable nonsense words can also work. What does eBay
mean? Amazon was a big river, but now is the world's largest
bookstore. Beware, these kinds of names take a lot of
advertising to establish in the minds of prospects.

People who study language say we tend to remember colors and
food (this secret must already be out...redpie.com is taken).

Judging from the big bundle of junk mail the letter carrier
brings every day, direct mail is working for a lot of companies.
Even Internet firms are pushing their wares via the postal
service.

Regular direct mail isn't for light pocketbooks. Good mailing
lists are expensive. Printing and postage run even higher easily
costing $5,000 for a list of 10,000 names.

While many people have achieved success simply mailing a few
pieces a week consistently over a long period of time, direct
mail is mostly used by big firms with equally big ad budgets.

You can use email to reach more prospects at a very affordable
price. Honest, targeted opt-in email lists (where people have
