Four Ways to Get a Great Headline

I'm in the process of researching the best outlets for on-lineand print media press releases for my company. I came across yourservices and advice via a google search and appreciate what Ireal.
In your opinion, where would be the best (and cheapest, ifpossible) on-line source for submitting the press-releases?
In addition, I found a website (also via a google search) thatlists almost every single Newspaper in the United States with alink to their website on which one can find the contactinformation. My question is: what is the best format to sendthese press releases? Are e-mails acceptable? are they lesscredible if in e-mail format?
Is it better to call? If so, where could I attain the phonenumbers?

This worksparticularly well for reaching your local and regional media.Email is the preferred method to receive a release because it'salready in the reporter's computer and it's easy to forward tothe correct person.

A publicity packet can be constructed several ways, but I like toinclude a press release, a page of questions with answers,possibly a bio, and a photo. You could combine your "about me"page copy with a photo for an excellent bio sheet. Then writedown the four questions you get asked the most and the answers tothem. This gives media some questions and answers they can use.

HOW TO MAKE MLM WORK FOR YOU

Take my challenge. The next party you attend, ask 20 people whatthey think of MLM. About 10 will say "never heard of it." Therest will run the gambit from hate it, love it, to tried 'em allbut never figured out how to make much money.
Chances are you or someone you know falls into the last category,those who have bravely tried one MLM after another, gotten theirhopes up, only to see the company fade away or the commissionchecks never materialize.
But it doesn't have to be that way. You CAN make MLM work foryou. Here is my simple five step system for turning MLMopportunity into financial success.
1. Find what can benefit you most, and believe that your businesswill succeed. You have GOT to sign up for a product or servicethat you truly believe in. I make the best example I know. Ihad tried every which way to lose weight with little success.Finally I found a product that helped me take the pounds off in arelatively short period of time.
I was a living testimonial, this product works! And NOTHINGsells people on a business like knowing YOU have had good successwith the product or service YOURSELF.
2. Don't fall for "get-rich-quick schemes." The Post Office hasa saying to help people keep from getting hoodwinked by junkmail: If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. When thesales letter says earn a million your first year, figure it's notgoing to be that easy for most people. You're better to find asolid company, a good product, and a sensible system you can use.And that leads us to the next step.
3. Pursue opportunities that take time and patience. Good thingscome to those who work and wait. Rome wasn't built in a day.We've all grown up with these old sayings. We remember thembecause they're largely true.
4. Find a business with a product that sells itself. Nothingleads to success like selling a product people ALREADY want. Youwant to be able to show your product to a prospect and have themsay "Oh, I love that. I've been looking for something like that."
5. Select a business in which you determine your own success.This is probably the most important point of all. What's thepoint of going into business if you can't reap all the benefitsof your hard work? Make sure the commission structure is set upso you get paid when you sell more, refer more, or promote more.

Recipe For a LONG Sales Letter

Long sales letters, 12 pages for regular mail and up to 25pages for web sites, are very popular right now.
And for good reason. Sales letters do best when they windup in the hands of REALLY interested prospects. The personwho is on the verge of buying from you wants all theinformation they can get. A long letter packed withdetails is often just the thing they need to motivate apurchase.
Here's a simple recipe for writing your long letter:1. Start by describing a BIG problem the reader has (if yousell tires, a blowout that leaves the family stranded,etc.)
2. Make the problem sound worse. Show what life could belike if the reader doesn't solve the problem. Show her allthe possible pitfalls she could face.
3. Next describe how wonderful life will be if the readerfollows your advice to buy your product or service.Connect your features with the benefits they will bring.
4. Now step back and let a few of your satisfied customerstalk. Include three to six glowing testimonials. Be sureto include the customer's name, city, and business ifappropriate. This makes them seem more real.
5. Return to your product or service and describe more waysit can benefit the customer. Take time to paint a scenariofor each of the features and benefits.
6. Now pile on the bonuses.
7. Finally, go for the sale. Ask the reader to buy now!Include a time limit for a special low price.

Handling Rejection

No matter what you sell, dealing with rejection is part ofthe job. Some people are better at it than others. Forthose of us who work on the Net, rejection wears soft shoes(if your ad doesn't work you don't get hits to yoursite...a lot easier than having an angry prospect close thedoor on your foot.)
I know a guy who relishes the thought of selling ads doorto door. "Rejection" isn't in his vocabulary.
Here are some steps for handling rejection:
* Listen attentively to the prospect's objection. Keep inmind that they are giving you valuable information. Theyare telling you why they don't want to buy. This points outways you can give the prospect more information. More oftenthan not, an objection is really just a request for moreinformation.
* Repeat the objection back to the prospect. Say, "Now, ifI understand you correctly, you feel that the product maynot work as well as we claim." Here's a great chance foryou to whip out more points like statistical data ortestimonials from satisfied customers.
* Once you have answered the prospect's objection, changethe subject slightly. This is the stock-in-trade ofpoliticians (who, after all, are in the business ofselling, too). It allows you to get the prospect onto amore important subject, one that will lead to a sale.

You can make more sales if you break the selling processdown to five easy steps.
1. First you have to pull in prospects. Get someone evenslightly interested in what you are selling and you've got aprospect, someone who could be turned into a payingcustomer during the next four steps.
2. Build rapport with your prospect. Let him know youthink like he does. It helps if you already know a bit aboutwhat the prospect is probably like. If she islooking for a no-hassle service, point out all the hassle thatcan accompany a service like yours, how your customersdon't have time for that, and how you have eliminated thehassle for them.
3. Next, qualify your prospect. This is a good time to bringup the price. People who can't afford the product or serviceor prefer to spend more than what you charge can beeliminated right away.
4. Now present your offer.
5. Finally, close the sale. Send the prospect to an orderpage, give them your toll free number, or give them directionsto your nearest store.

My problem is understanding howall of the advertisers claiming they can send my ad to the sameemails can work. What I mean is, how can the newsletters getall of those hundreds of ads being sent by advertisers such asyou in their small newsletter?
